AS-084F Boat Tour to Flatey Island

Flatey (Flat Island) is a beautiful island in Skjálfandi Bay, only 14.7 nautical miles NW from Húsavík.

It draws its name from its low-lying, with the highest peak only rising about 22 metres above sea level.

One of the highlights of Flatey is its closeness to nature; a natural haven for birdlife. It is extremely rich and offers more than 30 different species of birds during the breeding season, including the arctic terns and lots of puffins.
