FS-112 Vatnajökull - Kverkfjöll

Kverkfjöll mountains are a huge mountain range at the northern extremity of Vatnajökull glacier. The region is characterised by alternations of ice sheets and clusters of natural hot springs, with the most prominent, Hveradalur, being the among the greatest high temperature geothermal areas in Iceland.

The tour starts in the afternoon, with travelling to Kverkfjöll. Accommodation in a hut for two nights.

On day two, we will climb the mountains (Kverkfjöll) to Hveradalur.

On day three, we will take a walk in neighbourhood, and few short distance walk during our travel back to Mývatn.
